Maryland Department of Aging Opens New Durable Medical Equipment Collection Site in Montgomery County

There are now two locations in the County where you can donate your no-longer-needed durable medical equipment, for re-use by others.  The newest location is at the Shady Grove Transfer Station, with the other at the Rockville Senior Center.  These locations, and others throughout the state, are part of the Durable Medical Equipment Re-Use program run by the Maryland Department of Aging. The donated items are sanitized, repaired, and stored for future free distribution to anyone with any disability or at any income level. To find out more about acceptable donations and drop-off locations or how to apply to receive durable medical equipment, go to dme.maryland.gov, call 240-230-8000 or email dme.mdoa@maryland.gov
