PCV Speaker Series: Rightsizing / Downsizing: How to Stay in Your Home as You Age and What to Do if You Can’t

This program is part of our on-going series, "When Your Home No Longer Fits You"

Our speaker, Eric Stewart, real estate broker, founder of WidowCare and WMAL talk show host, will share strategies for keeping one’s home easy to manage, and a place of safety, familiarity and comfort.

Stewart says we need to look at our homes as a support system for living the life we want to live.  Since 90 percent of older adults are interested in aging in place, Stewart will walk us through a process to determine if our homes are still supporting our lifestyle - the life we want to live.

·  We'll explore how to evaluate whether to age in place or relocate, and determine if your home is still right for you.  For example, is it too big?  Are some rooms unused? Do you need enhancements to make it safe?

·  We'll also look at the best ways to begin decluttering your home, and at some of the options of where you can live if you decide that it's time to move.

Many people make the mistake of waiting until change is forced on them.  Don’t fall into this trap.  Act today to decide to change your life on your own terms!  Join us on September 19.

Registation is  strongly suggested.

All are welcome to attend this free and open-to-all talk.

Members who need transportation should indicate that they need a ride when they register.  If you are able to offer a ride, please let us know that as well.

A note on donations: Admission to this program is free, but we welcome your support of PCV with a donation at any level to help us continue to offer free programs and events to our wider community.
