Free Concert - Mount Vernon Virtuosi - classical string instrument concert
An opportunity for PCV members and volunteers to go to a free 1-hour concert with the Mount Vernon Virtuosi, presenting Opening with a Splash - Beethoven 5 for Strings at the Rockville JCC on Montrose Road. RSVP required by Friday, Oct. 25, 3:30 pm.
Optional: Going out for dessert or snacks after the concert at Panera, on East Jefferson St, attendees pay for what they eat. Please let us know when you register if you want to join in for dessert / snacks afterwards.
Members who need transportation should indicate that in the Comments section with they register; those who can offer transportation should indicate that as well.
About the Mount Vernon Virtuosi: Baltimore-based Mount Vernon Virtuosi is an innovative chamber orchestra of exceptional young musicians who are in transition from their studies to a professional career. Founded by cellist, pedagogue, and conductor Amit Peled, a professor at the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University, the ensemble performs concerts free-of-charge at the Bender JCC and other area venues as part of their concert season.
