A Night at the Opera
Opera houses all over the world have been shuttered during the pandemic. Thankfully, during the long wait for theaters to re-open, we can at least enjoy opera via the internet!
New York City music journalist and pianist Vivien Schweitzer will present a 40-minute zoom lecture on opera, exploring highlights from the Renaissance to the contemporary era. The lecture will include audio excerpts from the Spotify playlist that accompanies her book, A Mad Love: An Introduction to Opera.
