PCV Speaker Series

The History of Chocolate, with cookbook author and chocolate expert Sheilah Kaufman

We're in for a real treat, learning about chocolate AND getting to taste all about what we are learning.

RSVP by clicking the red Register for this Event on the PCV calendar entry, so we know how much chocolate to have on hand.

Our speaker, Sheilah Kaufman, is the author of more than 20 cookbooks. She is a popular lecturer and expert of chocolate, Turkish and Mediterranean cooking, and Jewish culinary history and traditions. Sheilah has been a guest speaker at The Library of Congress and was selected to be one of five culinary lecturers at their International Book Festival, Epcot's Food and Wine Festival, the Textile Museum, the Smithsonian Institution, the Metropolitan Cooking & Entertaining Show, Capital Speakers, Les Dames d'Escoffier, Brandeis, Culinary Historians of Washington, the Turkish Embassy, Oasis, and diplomatic groups. Sheilah has been a frequent guest on television and radio programs across the nation. In addition to consulting, Sheilah has developed recipes and served as a national spokesperson for a number of international companies.
