PCV's Holiday Party, celebrating winter holidays, milestone birthdays and our wonderful volunteers

PCV’s December Holiday Party has now become a tradition, and this year, we’re combining it with an older tradition, one where we celebrate our Milestone Birthdays!

What are Milestone Birthdays? Ones that mark age 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85 and age 90 and up.  PCV members who celebrated milestone birthdays in the past two years are especially invited to come to the party to be honored and to celebrate with us. Non-members - If you've had a Milestone Birthday this year or in 2022, please tell us when you register, so we can celebrate it with you!

We're also celebrating our Volunteer of the Year!  Come to the party to find out who will be named the PCV 2023 Volunteer of the Year. To recommend your favorite volunteer – or volunteers! – please email us at info@PotomacCommunityVillage.org and tell us what the volunteer has done to assist you.

We are thrilled that musician and singer Walter Ware, who previously entertained us on Zoom during the pandemic, is coming back live and in-person this year.  For a preview, click here.

We're looking forward to a lot of singing, dancing, good food, birthday cake, door prizes (!) great company and fun!

You must RSVP for the party. RSVP deadline is Monday, Dec. 11, by 7 pm please.  Questions?  Please contact the Help Desk well before the deadline, at 20854HelpDesk@gmail.com, or at 240-221-1370.  Please remember that all of our Help Desk agents are volunteers.

Members who expect to need a ride should indicate that when they register to attend.  Please let us know about your transportation needs as early as possible, so we have time to make arrangements.  Thanks.

Donations in honor of one or more of our special birthday boys and girls, or in appreciation of our volunteers or of PCV, are very welcome.  If you wish to pay by credit card, you may click on the Donate button.  If you prefer to pay by check, please mark the reason for the donation in the memo line, and send the check, payable to Potomac Community Village, to us at Potomac Community Village, PO Box 59424, Potomac MD 20859.  Thank you

We are also collecting food for Manna Food Center at our party.  At this time of year, we become even more aware of the many people in our county who are "food insecure," meaning their ability to get adequate and nutritious food is limited. Please try to bring in something from Manna's "most needed foods" list:

  • protein  - canned in water tuna, salmon or chicken. Dry or canned beans (low sodium). Nut butters.
  • fruits and vegetables - canned fruit in fruit juice; low sodium canned vegetables
  • Infant formula and baby food
  • shelf stable individual milk boxes
  • grains - whole grain pasta, 1 lb. bags of brown rice, instant oatmeal packets in original flavor

Thank you.
