PCV Speaker Series: Check it Out - Be Safe at HomeOur speakers are Jim Resnick, Program Manager, Senior Outreach and Education, and Lt. Irv Smith, both with the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service Community Risk Reduction program. Mr. Resnick is a retired Battalion Chief, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service. Mr. Resnick will speak on fire safety, smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, and what to do in the event of a fire; Lt. Smith on being safe at home, preventing falls, what to do if you do fall and get hurt, how to stop a bleed, and what you need to know about performing hands-only CPR.
All of this information is help us continue to be able to age in place safely in our own homes.
All are welcome to attend this free and open to all program at the Potomac Community Center.
Members who need transportation to attend this program should indicate that they need a ride when they register for this event. If you are able to offer a ride, please let us know about that as well.
