PCV Speaker Series:
Lawrence MacDonald, author of Am I Too Old to Save the Planet

A former foreign correspondent and vice president of the World Resources Institute, Lawrence MacDonald shares his journey to becoming a passionate climate activist, as he invites all of us to act to help save our planet. Packed with practical advice, his new book, Am I Too Old to Save the Planet, invites fellow boomers to join the growing global movement to save the planet.

He'll also talk about the work of Our Children's Trust, the group highlighted in the documentary "Youth V. Gov" and invite people to join in a peaceful, non-arrestable protest at the White House 1:00 on Sunday, April 21.  Here's a link to a story MacDonald wrote about this group and the background to the upcoming protest.

All are welcome to attend this free, open to all talk, available in-person at the Potomac Community Center and on Zoom.

Order  the book from your favorite independent bookstore (or from Barnes & Noble or Amazon) and have it signed at the in-person event!

Members who need transportation to attend at the Potomac Community Center should list that they need a ride when they register.  If you are able to offer a ride, please let us know about that as well.

Thank you to Sylvia for arranging for the speaker for us.

A note on donations: Admission to this program is free, but we welcome your support of PCV with a donation at any level to help us continue to offer free programs and events to our wider community.  Thanks.
