Learn about a Free respite program for caregivers

Tue 12 / 15 / 2020
4:00 PM to 5:00 PM

All about a free respite program for those providing primary caregiving to adults.
Zoom link will be available shortly.  Please register in advance to us at 240-221-1370 or email at, by Monday, Dec. 14 at noon.
Our speaker, Steve Lorberbaum, will talk about the ARC of Montgomery County's Senior Respite Program, which can  pay for  up to 140 hours of home care services for a loved one that can benefit from activities of daily living. This is a benefit for all Montgomery County residents who live with another adult who needs primary caregiving, and can use a respite break from primary caregiving.
This is not an income-based program, so anyone can apply.  Attendees will learn about the application process and what to expect.

Mr. Lorberbaum is the owner of Bethesda-based Assisting Hands Home Care.  An attorney, he spent more than 25 years practicing law in both private practice and as General Corporate Counsel.  Steve earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University.  He continued his education with a JD degree from George Washington University Law School in Washington DC.  In 2014, he became a Certified Senior Advisor and serves on the board of Cupid’s Charities, an organization that supports the Children’s Tumor Foundation.  He also serves on the board of Potomac Community Village and on Montgomery County’s Age Friendly – Home and Community Based Services Workgroup.
