PCV Speaker Series: Getting the most from your technology while saving money

Are you paying too much for technology services you don’t really need?  Are you interested in cutting your cable costs or learning how to bundle services that will save you money each month?

Technology and costs associated with it are confusing!   Many of us grew up in an era where we used a landline telephone to talk and used an antenna to watch over-the-air tv programs. Today we have many choices and many different methods to communicate and connect.

Technology professor Victor Rezmovic will discuss practical tips for reducing your costs and only paying for what you really need and use.  For example, did you know that you can replace an expensive landline with a phone that uses the Internet and still allows you to keep your old phone number? Or that you really may not need that landline for your home security system to work?

Become an informed consumer and learn how to advocate for yourself while saving money!

About our speaker: Victor Rezmovic has been a resident of the 20854 zip code since 1984 and has presented technology talks for the PCV in the past. Victor worked as a technology consultant and educator for the federal government and has taught classes at Montgomery College and the University of Illinois.

Registation is  strongly suggested.

All are welcome to attend this free and open-to-all talk.

Members who need transportation should indicate that they need a ride when they register.  If you are able to offer a ride, please let us know that as well.

A note on donations: Admission to this program is free, but we welcome your support of PCV with a donation at any level to help us continue to offer free programs and events to our wider community.
