Internet connectivity has brought about many positive improvements in the way we live and learn. Unfortunately, the Internet has made us vulnerable to attacks aimed at compromising our identity and stealing from our savings. During this presentation we will present a series of recommendations to protect us while we are online. Our guiding principle will be "If you can spot a scam you can stop a scam". Knowing what scams are being used online is the most effective tool to protect yourself.
Our speaker, Victor Rezmovic, is an IT consultant who has worked in the DMV for the last 45 years. He currently teaches cybersecurity at Montgomery College.
This joint program is free and open to all.
Registration is not required, but is suggested, so we know how many people to expect. The program will take place in the Potomac Library's Community Room.
PCV members who need transportation should indicate that when they register. Those who can offer transportation should indicate that as well.
