It’s been 80 years since the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. To mark this solemn anniversary, historian Sir Simon Schama traveled to once-thriving Jewish European cities and made his first visit to the death camp. Join Schama and Hugo Macgregor, director of the new PBS film Simon Schama: The Holocaust, 80 Years On, and Moment’s Robert Siegel, for a conversation about the importance of remembering those who perished, the ongoing fight against Holocaust denial and resurgent antisemitism, and what it really means to say never again. In commemoration of Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day.
