PCV Scrabble Game
Our Scrabble game is open to members and volunteers, meeting at a member's private home.
This month, our game is at a member's Potomac home, just off Falls Road and just north of Montrose Road.
Address will be sent in the confirmation email after you register. Look at the "organizer notes" in the confirmation email - it shows the address.
We play a friendly game, often using a Scrabble dictionary before our turn to see if our idea of a word is a good one, and share new words with each other to try to remember for next time. Words we've learned for Scrabble (we don't use them anywhere else, but they're in the Scrabble dictionary) are:
ZA (short for pizza)
XI (Greek letter)
QI (life force in Chinese philosophy)
JO (a sweetheart in Scotland)
YA (an Asian pear)
ET (past tense of to eat)
XU (a Vietnamese coin)
GOX (gaseous oxygen)
and GI (a white garment worn for martial arts).
Refreshments are provided by our host; participants are welcome to bring refreshments to share.
Registration is required, so we know how many boards and tables to set up.
Members - If you need a ride to come, please indicate that you need a ride when you register for this event by setting the ride field to "need a ride". Everyone, if you can offer a ride, please indicate that as well.
