Lauren K. Pitts will provide an introduction to AI Literacy: what generative Artificial Intelligence can do, key limitations, using ChatGPT for everyday tasks like writing, and future possibilities.
 

Learn the essentials of AI and ChatGPT, including what today’s AI tools can (and can’t) do, practical uses, and what’s ahead--with Lauren K. Pitts.

INTRODUCTION TO AI LITERACY
Join us for an engaging, participatory workshop on AI Literacy. We’ll explore:
- What generative Artificial Intelligence can do
- Key limitations of AI
- Using ChatGPT for everyday tasks like writing
- Future possibilities of this rapidly evolving technology

WHAT TO EXPECT
This is a structured, interactive session.

Please bring:
- Your laptop, tablet, or smartphone
- A headset or earbuds

The library has a limited number of laptops available to borrow with a library card and ID. However, we recommend using your personal device. Need earbuds? You can purchase a basic set for $2 at the Circulation Desk.

Doors open: 5:15 PM
Please note: No one will be admitted after 5:45 PM

Lauren K. Pitts is a mindful tech educator and wellness facilitator with over 15 years of experience in environmental science, adult education, and community-centered programming. She specializes in accessible AI workshops for older adults and underserved communities.
